Mark Ssesanga

Welcome to DearMulokole, a Christian blog exploring contextual issues in the contemporary world. I am Mark Ssesanga, a Christian and pastor at The Fount Church in Bukoto, Kampala.

For more than a decade as a Christian, my mind has been boggled by the dissonance between Christians’ profession of faith in Jesus and the practical living out that faith in daily life.

This blog is meant to challenge the all-too-common watered down, feel-good version of Christianity that has become so prevalent in our culture. We will examine our contemporary, cultural and prevailing Christian beliefs through the lenses of Scripture, wrestling with its truth and allowing them to shape our lives in radical ways.

I hope and pray that this place will become a haven for those who yearn for authentic Christianity, who crave a faith that isn’t confined to Sunday mornings, but spills over into every aspect of our lives.

Who We Are:

Dear Mulokole is a vibrant Christian blog that dives deep into the interplay of Christianity and culture in Uganda. We offer profound insights into biblical truths within the context of local traditions and societal dynamics, enriching our readers’ understanding of God’s Word.

Our mission is to deepen understanding of God’s Word in Uganda and beyond, reflecting His teachings in the region’s unique cultural and societal landscape, and fostering true spiritual growth rooted in God’s truth.

GUIDED BY GOD’S WORD:

It Is Sufficient For All Things

God’s word is at the heart of everything we do. It is sufficient for all things pertaining to life and godliness. This blog reflects this conviction in the sufficiency and efficacy of God’s word.
